Our Little Cupcake First Birthday Party

Description

We celebrated our daughter's first birthday with a cupcake themed party.

Design Inspiration

Cupcakes and more cupcakes! And an invitaion that was lime and pink. It was bright, whimsical and fun just what we wanted the party to be to celebrate our girl's birthday!

Decorating Style

I love anything bright and fun! I also really love simple peices that you can mix and match into your party decor like basic white and glass peices. Then you can add pops of color to it anywhere you like. My style is mostly traditional I would say, I love things that are vintage too.

Project Details

I took on many of the projects for these parties myself with the help of some family and some fabulous vendors. The pom poms, cookie favors, birthday banner, montly photo banner, styling and decor were all done by me.

There's tons and tons of inspiration in blog land. I'm so inspired by so many awesome and talented bloggers. Just start searching and you'll find so many ideas for your party.

Favorite Items

My favorite item had to be the desert bar and all of the yummy goodies! I made all of them myself homemade. It was a delcious labor or love. I think it just adds something so special and fancy to the party. I think you can make any event/party extra special by taking the time to do a desert table.

Advice

Use white dishes every where, and add pops of color with accessories and decor. White is great because you can use basic dish ware every where and use it again, it's easy and very cost effective for your next party. Don't be afraid to do things yourself, it's not only fun and adding your own personal touch it's very cost effective.

Everything's so cute, especially the little pink cake. And you can really see how most of what's in here were handmade or DIY, obviously a labor of love.
