Description:
Olivia's Shabby Chic Nursery!
-
Design Inspiration:
My inspiration for the nursery really stemmed from the borghese furniture. Once I purchased the furniture, my ideas for the nursery started flowing! I really wanted to do a nursery that was contemporary and chic at the same time and I didn't want the nursery to be so "babyish." I am in love with grays, whites, and cream right now and so I knew I wanted to incorporate these colors in Olivia's nursery.

Project Details:
One of my favorite things about this nursery is the design wall. The damask design on the wall is custom painted by Cathy's Custom Painting. Cathy did a phenomenal job in only 3 days! I purchased the crib and dresser with hutch ( both by Pali ) from Cribs to College in Naperville. I love that the hutch can be removed and transformed into a bookcase. I originally found the borghese furniture at zgallerie and then happened to find the exact same dresser and nightstand at Home Goods... for much cheaper! The bows on the crib are hand made by grandma. I found the curtains at Bed Bath & Beyond. The chandelier is the Mia chandelier from Potterybarn kids. The rug is an eco friendly rug made out of recycled t-shirts found at http://www.goshopus.com/gsu_product_~s-4'7%2Bx%2B7'7~c-PINK~p-20.JS41.htm. The glider and ottoman ( not pictured ) were purchased at BuyBuy Baby. The shelf with 3 hooks on the wall was purchased at Hobby Lobby.
