Design Inspiration:
To celebrate my bebe's 1st birthday, we wanted to have a fun and trendy theme that combined our personalities. Olivia loves animals and mama loves the new trend of neon colors this season. Together we came up with NEON SAFARI. Enjoy!

I love modern, I love color, I love fun and I love edgy.
Project Details:
My friend, Evelyn, of Sweet Appeal helped with setting up the dessert bar. I purchased a few items at Party City, Oriental Trading and Dollar Tree. I also utlized Pinterest for ideas on purchased and DIY items. I baked the cupcakes, made the yogurt pretzels, created the dum dum topiary, baked the cookies, made the zebra brownies and created tissue paper pom poms for centerpieces. The cake was from sweet passions (lettering and pink trim) but we added the animal and cake tattoo pieces and pinwheels. My friend Rochelle of Got Sweetz made the zebra print cake balls.
Favorite Items:
I loved the cupcakes, the balloons and the topiary ball. But overall I loved the colors and how it all came together. I had anxiety for weeks thinking that it might be too tacky, but it all worked out!
Advice:
Plan ahead. Shop early. I also utilized Pinterest and Google Docs for my ideas and how to organize. I only wished that I had created some non food stuff way ahead of time.
