A double 2nd birthday party for my daughter Nora and niece Andi.
Design Inspiration:
My sister & I wanted to create a party full of whimsy and imagination. Inspiration sparked from an adorable fox mask found at shopminikin.com. Ideas started flowing from there and a party full of woodland friends came to life.
Project Details:
Lots of DIY. Aside from the animal figurines, everything from decorations to food we made. The woodland masks and tissue paper wall were the most time consuming projects. We drew our own mask templates and used a combo of sewing/hot gluing to create them. The tissue paper wall was inspired by a photo from pinterest. We found the peach, cream and gold paper at worldmarket. The wood stump centerpiece came from an old tree that my sisters in-laws recently cut down, score! We used sticks for the candy apples and cake toppers from the backyard. The animal figurines were found at hobby lobby and spray painted gold. We bought all of our paper bags/plates/cups/utensils at Orson H Gygi in SLC (Gygi.com)
Advice:
Be creative! We used a lot of things right out of own backyard. Also, borrowing is key. You'd be surprised as to how many cake stands/dishes one person may own ;) Take a look at Andis first birthday here........ http://projectnursery.com/projects/andi-lynnes-1st-birthday/

This is so woodland! So true to the theme. Even the candy apples have real twigs. Lovely party.
