No Ordinary Baby’s Room

Description

I had a lot of ideas for the nursery and tried to incorporate them all.  I knew I didn't want a quote on quote "baby's room" and wanted it to be a little more grown up.  So I gathered  safari animals and paired them with a chevron print to create Rory's room.

 

Design Inspiration

I saw a posting from Project Nursery using giraffes.  It is similar to the one I have above the crib and that's where the inspiration started.  From there I found the elephant rocker and chevron rug that I fell in love with.

Project Details

I found the bedding at Restoration Hardware Kids, elephant rocker and rug at Pottery Barn Kids, curtains at JCPenny's, and Rory's wood sign on Etsy.

Favorite Items

The small table in front of the window has to be my favorite.  It was my great grandmother's that my husband sanded down and repainted.

Advice

Don't give up!

While putting this room together I didn't think I was going to end up liking it, but once it was all finished I loved it!
