Night Sky Nursery

Description

I was so thrilled to begin work on this baby boy’s modern and whimsical sky nursery design with a fabulous client in Los Angeles, California. The goal was to create a warm and inviting space that was a little on the modern side with animal accents. My client also wanted a mural on the ceiling to add a touch of whimsy to the space.

Design Inspiration

A lot of the design inspiration for this nursery came from the wall tapestry that hangs over the changing table. It was something my client and her husband had picked up during their travels, and she wanted to use it for the color scheme, and the subtle whimsical safari theme of the space.

Decorating Style

This nursery is a blend of modern and transitional. The house itself is quite modern with Balinese accents, so we wanted to translate that into the nursery as well by using modern pieces with accents of the eclectic and exotic.
