Nathan’s Blue & Gray Nursery

Description

A clean and crisp boy nursery.

Design Inspiration

I had seen a lot of nurseries with board and batten and I loved the look and knew I had to have it. My husband and I are very into playing and watching sports but it didn't seem right to do a sports theme.  It felt like I was requiring my unborn son to also be into sports so I began looking at different non-themed boy crib bedding. I found the perfect set at Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.  Their Cloud Blue Quilted Bumper was beautiful and it was exactly the smooth look I was searching for.  From there everything else just fell into place.

Decorating Style

My decorating style in general is contemporary, classic and clean.

Favorite Items

I love how the decal above the crib looks.  It was the item that seemed to pull the whole nursery together.  I also love my glider/recliner.  I went back and forth on whether or not to get one and I am so happy I did.  I feel like I live in it these days.

Advice

Start early and take your time looking to find all the perfect pieces.  For those of you that are not into the whole DIY thing look to Etsy to help with decorating the walls.
