Modern nursery with vintage accents

This nursery is clean, calm and bright. I had fun using a mix of modern and vintage components to the room.

Design Inspiration:

Navy blue stripes started it off... once the jets went up on the wall,the room developed from there! I tried to combine modern and vintage "boy" elements.

Decorating Style:

Vintage, organized, eclectic

Project Details:

glider: monte designs, grano, giggle

rug: safavieh paris, bed bath and beyond

crib: sundvik, ikea

jet stickers: etsy (look up "blue angels stickers")

crib sheet and changing pad cover: land of nod

mobile: DIY with twine, vintage maps, embroidery hoops. (I just hung it from a stand from an already purchased mobile, but you could easily hang it from the ceiling.)

*Most of the other objects in the room were either something I had or purchased at baby stores. Lots of the vintage things were purchased at the Alameda Flea Market (sock monkey, shelves, tractor, alphabet flip stand, books)

Favorite Items:

It's a tie between the rug and the glider. The glider was our big "splurge" for the room. It is very comfortable and compact and even reclines. However, I think the soft, furry rug really completes the room and for only $100 it is quite the steal!
