Description:
Fun nursery inspired by DwellStudio's Transportation collection with lots of mixing and matching.
-
Design Inspiration:
I loved the DwellStudio transportation bedding but wanted a more eclectic look. I paired a few Dwell pieces with random finds from Target, Etsy, and other retailers to create something fun and colorful.

Decorating Style:
Modern, fun

Project Details:
Bedding:
- DwellStudio stroller blanket and sheet
- Boppy brand crib skirt
- Carter's brown minky-dot bumper
- Accent name pillow by etsy seller, whimseyco
- Personalized minky blanket from etsy seller, BabyBeulah
Lamps & picture frames: Target Storage containers: from various places including Target, Home Depot, Dwell, and Hobby Lobby Wall Decor: Wooden signs by etsy seller Go Jump in the Lake, green mirror from Lowe's, name letters cut from Dwell Studio wallpaper (you can order just a small amount for projects and even scale the pattern to the size you want) Windows: Eclipse brown curtain panels from Target, Valances/tie-backs sewn from material from the Dwell Studio fabric shower curtain Shelf: vintage, repainted with Behr paint in Teal Zeal Mobile and rag wreath: DIY projects made with scraps of the wallpaper and leftover shower curtain Dwell fabric. Tips for mobile: make sure your cardstock is double-sided. I purchased a whole pack of cute cardstock only to realize that the white backing didn't have the effect I wanted.

Favorite Items:
I really love the etsy items that pull the room together and coordinate, yet keep it from being too theme-y. I love the transportation pattern, but I didn't want to overdo it. The pillow, personalized blanket, and bright wall signs add personality.

Advice:
Even if you like an expensive bedding set, you can get the same look by purchasing a few less-expensive items from the collection and matching it with lower-priced coordinates from various brands. I had so much fun putting together this nursery and like the effect more than if I had splurged on the set I initially eyed.
