Modern Chevron Elephant Baby Shower

Description

I started compiling and researching very early, way before we knew the gender. Once I knew how I wanted to decorate his nursery, everything else came together. I purchased most of the supplies very early and my friend + business partner and I created all of the printables you see. I got inspiration ideas from Project Nursery, Etsy, and HWTM.

Design Inspiration

The chevron and elephant motifs were my inspiration for everything. I knew I wanted to create his nursery around these themes, so as soon as we found out we were going to have a boy everything came together in my mind and I knew I wanted the same theme for my shower. I just had to put it to fruition.

Decorating Style

My style is more modern and contemporary with a touch of vintage here and there which this shower fits perfectly. I also love DIY'g what I can.

Favorite Items

Initially, I thought it was going to be the chevron elements (although they are a top contender) but I think it was the cradle that was scored off of Craigslist for $30 and doubled as a gift holder that was probably my favorite item. Another top contender are all of the printable elements created by myself and my partner. They definitely tied everything together.

Advice

I am a huge to-do lister. Create a list. Start planning and buying stuff early. That way, you are not stuck trying to get your look together at the last minute. This will help avoid any disappointments and it will help you achieve the look you want without rushing and without breaking the bank.

Love what you did with your vintage photos -- the frame, the wooden clips, and the wire. ;)
