Description

We really wanted a modern gender neutral nursery for our baby.  I chose all of the fabric before we found out what we were having, but did end up adding just a couple splashes of pink in the frame collage after we found out we are having a girl!  I think this is a room she will really be able to grow into.

Design Inspiration

Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow line of fabric was my inspiration for the entire room.  I absolutely love this entire collection.  The colors work so great together.  I chose most of his fabric from the Pond palette, but chose a few from the Berry palette as well.  I love them all.  I wanted the room to be colorful and to feel warm and cheery, and I think these fabrics make that happen.

Decorating Style

I generally like to keep things pretty simple and throw in little details to make the room more interesting.  Lots of DIY.

Project Details

All of the details for this nursery can be found in this post, including where we got everything for our room.

Favorite Items

I absolutely love the entire room!  My favorite piece of furniture might be the dresser we used.  It was the dresser my husband used when he was a baby, and I think it looks great painted white with the new hardware we chose for it.   It's exactly what I wanted for the room.  I also really love the cloud wall art above the crib with the Christmas lights embedded in.  I am so happy with the way those turned out!  They really light up the bird mobile when the room is dark.

I find so many interesting elements in this room. I am not familiar with Joel Dewberry, but seeing your room makes me want to check him out.

The fabric patterns are so pretty! And those little frames on the wall look so cute. Good job on decorating this room, mommy.

My little girl is due in december as well. I am doing a nature type theme with turquoise and red. I love your mobile. Thanks so much for the pattern. I also went and registered for the turquoise owl bank. Cute and perfect for my nursery. I really like the bookshelves from ikea and will have to pick some up if I make it up to Bolingbrook soon.. Cute nursery, I love all the bright colors.
