Meryn’s Pink Elephant Circus

Description

Meryn's loves to have fun outdoors, so what better way to celebrate her special day than with an outdoor circus-themed party! Balloon animals, face-painting, popcorn, hot dogs and cotton candy helped to pull the theme together. And, her ticket invitations and custom pinwheel decorations were enjoyed by both children and parents alike!

Design Inspiration

My inspiration for the project came from so many places.  Being a designer of invitations for all sorts of events I am always researching different trends.  I have seen many great "circus" and "carnival" parties out there that inspired me, and then added my own modern touch.

Decorating Style

Eclectic.  I enjoy mixing modern with traditional.

Project Details

~ The invitations all included a "ticket" on the backside with all of the party details.

~The favors included all sorts of fun carnival type things such as a clown nose, a fortune teller fish, penny candy, whirlypops, caramel apples, and little games etc.

~ One of my favorite decorations were the custom pinwheels that I designed and put together.  We used them for the centerpieces as well as party decor around the garden.

~ Party activities included an elephant moon-bounce, face painter and balloon man, duck pond, photo-booth with props, photo-boards the children could stick their faces through and have their picture taken.

~I set up child-sized tables for the kids to enjoy their hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy.

Favorite Items

There were so many things I loved about this party, it is hard to pick just one thing!  I would have to say that I loved the photo-booth because it allowed everyone to take a picture and bring it home to remember the party.

Nice one! I think the best thing about carnival-themed parties is that you can use all the bright and not-too-bright colors

A party for the sweet-toothed! I am fond of sweets and candies, too. I'm sure I am going to enjoy this party as much the kids. And an inflatable elephant bouncer? They are every kid's favorite!
