My baby boy's room
I just wanted a nice space for my soon to play and rest. I guess I was inspired by love and all that feelings you have while expecting a baby.
I spent hours on the web watching nurseries...I incorporated exact items that I liked,it turned out very gender neutral I think ,even tough it was not my intention. I'd like to think is very modern.
I went crazy with the damasc print fabric I found in Austin...I didn't like any bedding so my husband and I chose the fabric and the combo of colors and I has a seamstress do the job...the crib and changer you know it by heart already,is by Baby Mod and the rest of the furniture and the rug is from Ikea... My mom gave the chair when I went away from college and it was hot pink...we had reupholstered with fabric from Ikea also.. The paint color took a lot of time because it kept showing more blueish than we wanted to...I'd like to think is grey though my husband says it's still blue...
My favorite thing is the bird my cousin made from fabric she had just laying around and the wall decal I had seen in a lot of pics.
The only advice I have is to start early so you can find the items you want gradually. Since we live in Mexico and we went to Austin to do the shopping, we got the items we liked and had to imagine how would it look, we just had about three days, so I think it came out looking great. We couldn't return anything anyway!!!
