Malu’s Sunny B-Day!

Description

For my baby girl's second birthday I've decided to create a party inspired by the sun, since she loves sunny days and always asks me to draw the sun and put a smile on it. It was the first time in my life I've done all the party decoration by myself. I had tones of fun doing it and I've worked a lot to get it all done before my due date (my baby boy was born just 13 days before the party). Design Inspiration

My daughter's love for the sun.

Decorating Style

I guess "crafty" is the word, since I've done it all by myself, using scrapbook paper, ribbons and stuff like that.

Project Details

I searched the web for almost everything and found many tutorials on how to do the wreath, the pompoms and also found many beautiful ideas in websites like Project Nursery.

My tip would be: start early (like 3 or 4 months before the party) and spend a lot of time on the internet before you finish planning. The inspiration gets bigger and bigger and so does the work you'll have to prepare it all!

Favorite Items

I love the wreath and the name banner.

Advice

Try to be consistent in your color pallete. I really wanted it to have a clear and bright look, so I did take small pieces of paper in the colors I've chosen to every store I went to buy materials, so I wouldn't end up with strong colors in different tones.

Hi NonaCO,

I believe if you use Google Chrome you would be able to translate it to english.

I'm sorry I don't know any other way.

Thank you so much for all the complements.

And you also prepared all the food here? The cupcakes look really yummy. It's amazing how you did everything... preparing the decors so near your due date and then putting everything up two weeks after giving birth. But I bet the party turned out fun and exciting, and all your hard work was worth it.
