- A Project For: Maddie's Pink and Teal Chevron Nursery
- Age: 4 months
- Location: Texas
-
Description:
I wanted to use some of the furniture I already had, and painting the crib turned out beter than I could have ever imagined! I love the dark pink accents, and the teal and gray seem to work perfectly together. It's my favorite room in the house! :-)
-
Design Inspiration:
I fell in LOVE with the Lila bedding from Caden Lane. I just wanted to "accent" with the chevron print - and the bedding, changing pad cover, and storage boxes did just that.
-
Decorating Style:
I love clean lines and color. I wanted a fun & whimsical nursery that could grow with Maddie, and still work with her in her big girl room!
-
Project Details:
I used the crib from my son's nursery, and had a local painter refinish it in teal to match the bedding - I love how it gave it a fresh look, and it was cheaper than buying a new crib!
Most of the items I purchased from a local store in San Antonio, Nursery Couture: the rug, glider & ottoman, accent pillow (which they monogramed for me), and her blanket! The large letter "M" I also purchased from them in solid pink, and then my mom made most of the flowers and decorated the M for me - I think it added the perfect touch to her name!
The curtains & pink chevron storage baskets were from Land of Nod.
The "addie" part of her name is a vinyl sticker I purchased on etsy.

Favorite Items:
I love the bedding & Maddies name above the crib! The pink, teal, peach, and white were the color pallete for the entire nursery - and I LOVE how the neutral gray walls, and teal ceiling perfectly compliment eachother! Adding the molding around the room seperated the colors, and it makes the ceiling look huge!
