As soon I knew we were having a girl I knew I wanted a feminine room without the pink overload. Most of the inspiration pictures that I was drawn to seemed to have aqua and grey in them. I incorporated several different patterns that I loved into this room.
I drew most of my inspiration from Pinterest Boards and Project Nursery.
I consider this style contemporary with a few modern-traditional elements thrown in for character.
Chandelier - Craigslist find that was painted and embellished
Lined Curtains (block out light and will help keep room warm in winter) - DIY project, fabric from Hobby Lobby
Curtain Tie Backs - beaded trim and door knobs from JoAnn's
Crib Bumper - DIY project, fabric from JoAnn's
Crib Bedskirt - DIY project, tutorial used: http://www.freestylinbeth.com/2012/05/no-sew-beaded-tutu-bedskirt.html
Name of Canvas - DIY project, vinyl on spray painted canvas, used Silhouette Cameo to cut out vinyl

Small Wire Baskets: Amazon (sold out right now)
Mirror: DIY project, purchased from local antique store, primed and painted with silver spray paint
The chandelier is my favorite item in the room. I'm so happy with the way it turned out, especially since it was a last minute change to the room.
Give yourself plenty of time to shop around for bargains and sales and to complete DIY projects. Also, don't be afraid to use on traditional colors in your nursery. Even though there isn't any pink in the room, there's enough feminine details to let you know that "It's a Girl!"
