Lyla’s Happy Nursery

Description

I was really drawn to pink/mint/coral colors together and that was originally what I was going for.  I also knew I wanted to have gold accents after finding the gold foil "Night Night Sweet Girl" print.  It ended up being hard to find items in the mint green, so the colors really evolved into pinks, oranges, greens, yellows.  I had this periwinkle blue rug that went well with all the colors and really offset all the pink that was happening.  I also already had the vintage gold bobble lamp that worked really well in the space.  I was going to paint the walls but we moved into our new house when I was 8 months pregnant and it was just too much. Instead I opted to do gold dot decals which I cut out myself from contact paper and arranged so they were sprinkling from the corner.  They ended up being economical and great option as they peel off the wall so easy.  I made the sheep mobile from felt and pipe cleaners, my daughter ended up loving it.  She would star at the sheep for 15 minutes straight which was a win!  The flower poms were part of my baby shower and worked well with my colors so I hung them in the corner above the glider.  I ordered the 3 baby animal prints from etsy and used IKEA picture ledges for book storage.  I really love how the room turned out!
