Little Sister’s Coral and Grey Nursery

Description

For our 3rd baby we are having a girl (our boys are 5 and nearly 3) so we had a lot of fun setting up a girlie space for her.

Design Inspiration

A clean, crisp and simple coral and grey nursery with hints of peach. Arrows are a subtle theme based on Psalm 127:3,4

Decorating Style

simple.

Project Details

Many pieces in her nursery came from the baby shower that my good friend threw. The poms above the crib were hanging all over along with the paper bunting above the changing table. The scripture, wooden arrows, and watercolor peonies are all courtesy of my shower hostess who is also an artist, you can find her work at Big Dandy Design.

The curtains were simply table runners at the shower that I asked my mom to sew for me. The quilt and pillow in the crib were both handmade by my mother-in-law.
The crib bumper was "Pinterest" inspired. I can't site one tutorial because there are many, but it's a no-sew project I made with fleece.

The glider is a Dorel brand, purchased online at Target. The crib and changer are now 5 years old, no longer in production.

All these details and more can be found on my blog Breaking New Ground.

Favorite Items

It's hard to choose just one favorite item, but as of now I think I'd have to say the glider. It really brought the room together when we got it and it's going to be where I spend most of my time once she arrives!

Advice

I don't sew well, or really have time to,  so I asked for help. Don't be afraid to ask family and friends to do little projects for you to complete your nursery on a budget!
