Lila's nursery is a whimsical mix of color, print, and design. I wanted to incorportate my chevron obession (without going overboard) and give the nursery a colorful and bright feel that could grow with my daughter. Since this is my third baby, I wanted to be a little wild... and decided to make a statement with the dark pink dresser and white glider. Totally impractical? Maybe. Fabulous for design? Absolutely. It's my third... no rules apply, right?

Design Inspiration:
I'm obsessed with anything chevron at the moment, hence the NEW Caden Lane Ikat/Chevron Collection, so when I found out I was having a girl... the nursery design planning started - all around the Lila Bedding, of course. :-)

Decorating Style:
My style changes from year to year, it's probably pretty obvious as you scroll through the pages of the Caden Lane collections. I think design starts with color, and instead of adding a "theme" to the nursery, you should focus on adding personal touches... it will mean so much more to you in the long run. And always decorate with the future in mind! In two years, you'll be packing up that crib, and introducing a big kid bed... so instead of completely redesigning that nursery you worked so hard on, make sure you can coordinate twin/full bedding later on! Good thing Caden Lane has a full line of big kid bedding too! :-)

Recliner Glider: Little Castle (I used their white minky fabric, and sent in the turqouise trim - found at a local fabric store for less than $5/yard!)

Bunting Flags: on etsy from StarlitNest, I sent her Caden Lane fabric that matches the bedding.

Curtains: White Panels are from JC Penny, and then I hot glued the dark pink rosette trim to the border! So easy, and less than $50 per panel!
Ottoman Pouf: ordered on etsy from Aletafae.

Frames are from Cut It Out, they come raw, and I just painted them in the colors to coordinate. So easy!
