My favorite color is lavender, and I've always wanted a lavender nursery for my little girl. Plus, my husband was opposed to pink! It is such a soothing color for a little girls room

traditional, but also modern. Clean lines and lots of whites, white crown moldings with pale wall paint colors

Advice

go lighter on the wall color than you think - at least two shades lighter in my opinion. It will always look softer, brighter, and more modern this way. I really didn't want a "cutesy" nursery with lots of characters, so I went for a simple palate to achieve a more grown up/sophisticated look.
