I designed a gender neutral nursery for our baby. He loves the vibrant colors and the contrast of the black and white! I went with the forest theme and played with colors! The horizontal stripes really make the room pop along with the black and while drapes and rug!

Project Details
Don't go to all the expense with buying everything brand new. For example, I found the glider chair and foot rest on Craigslist, the rocking horse, the horse lamp, and a couple of (new) pillows at Goodwill! The rug was fairly inexpensive from Garden Ridge. The total room cost was under $1000 for everything including the crib and antique dresser used as a changing station and there is another high dresser in his closet furniture found at a consignment shop.
Favorite Items
The mural took about a week to complete, but it was worth it!
Advice
You will need someone's help with the horizontal stripes. We used a laser and it made it so much easier!
