J’s Nursery

Design Inspiration

Our first purchase for the room was an old sturdy dresser I found on Craigslist. I knew I wanted to work with the colors gray, black, and white so we painted the dresser a dark gray and added black hardware to it.

Decorating Style

I wanted something on the more nontraditional side.  A room he can grow into and I didn't want it to feel babyish.

Favorite Items

The dresser! It was such a fun project  and felt great to take something old and make it new again. Plus it's one of a kind! I also think the blanket that my Grandma & I sewed is very special. A great memory!

Advice

Keep it simple! You don't have to use traditional baby colors in your design, think outside the box and do what you love!
