Jaxon’s Baby Animal Nursery

I wanted to create a fun and whimsical space for Jaxon.

Design Inspiration

I knew I wanted to incorporate images of adorable animals in Jaxon's room.  My inspiration for the nursery came from the colors of the jungle.  I wanted to create a warm and welcoming space without spending a fortune.

Decorating Style

As our home is decorated in neutral colors, I wanted to introduce bolder colors into Jaxon's nursery.  I incorporated many pieces we already owned  including a dresser, side table and lamp along with some new pieces like a glider and the artwork.

Favorite Items

I fell in love with the fabric from Calico Corners I used for the curtains and the baby animal prints from The Animal Print Shop.  My mom and I made the mobile from branches given to us by a local florist and added the rain drops which were decorations from a brunch thrown by my mom and sister.

Advice

I wanted to create a space Jaxon could live in for years to come.  I also wanted to equally enjoy the space myself as I knew I would be spending endless hours in the room the first few months of his life.
