Isabella's sophisticated and girly but entirely UN-pink nursery.
Design Inspiration:
I didn't have a specific design inspiration but we did not find out the sex of the baby before she was born so I started with grey walls, the lime green glider, and the espresso and white furniture not really sure of where I would go from there. The whole project evolved over time and the finishing touches, we added after Izzy was born.
Decorating Style:
Eclectic/ leaning contemporary. I love the juxtaposition of adding the old with the new or in this case, the baroque mirror and ornate chandelier with the clean lines of the furniture.

Favorite Items:
Probably the mirror is my favorite thing in that room and I think it could work in any room in the house!
Advice:
Use touches that you love and that make you happy. Don't worry about what's "supposed" to be in a nursery. I had someone at our local furniture store try to talk me out of the animal print curtains, claiming it was so "inappropriate" for a baby girls room. I'm SO glad I didn't listen- the curtains are one of my favorite parts of the room.

Such a beautiful space. I like how it looks so bright, clean and crisp. Love the sweet, girly details, like the chandelier, the round side table, the rug, and those little photo frames.

I totally forgot to post that- also jennifer delonge (the toddler chair which is smaller and less expensive then the child chair. I’ve seen sales on gilt.com a couple times although it was still no great bargain! :)
