Inspired by Tiffany’s – Twin Girls Nursery

Description

A tiffany and fairytale twin nursery.

Design Inspiration

I love all things romantic and whimsical and really wanted a special nursery for the girls. I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and that inspired me to go for a Tiffany Blue for the nursery.

Decorating Style

My decorating style is a mix of vintage, romantic, girly and shabby chic!

Project Details

For the walls I used a duck egg blue paint and added a tree Muriel as a feature. I added some fabric bird houses to the branches and a small fairy door at the tree trunk so the girls know the fairies are keeping an eye on them !

I brought paper lampshades from Amazon and added butterflies to make a feature of the lighting and something for the girls to look up at when they are lying down.

I found the vintage rocking chair on eBay and added the wizard of oz inspired cushion. I wanted this to be Fairytale corner where we can read bedtime stories so they shelves are filled with fairy takes and quotes !

I added a tension pole to a shelf to make a storage feature - The Baby Boutique ! This is where I can display the girls shoes and outfit choices !

I added tutus to plain white curtains to give a girly touch ! The tie backs are made from ribbon and a heart keepsake with the girls names , birth dates and birth times on !

I hung small baskets on the walls to store toys.

I added wooden initials to the cots and a pink canopy to give a princess feel !

Favorite Items

The Baby Boutique ! I love having their little outfits out on show.

Advice

Finding the right type of blue was time consuming , I tried lots of tester pots so trial a few to get one that works for you.

Amazon had lots of choices for the wall stickers and really easy to apply!
