Mustache Bash to celebrate my sons' birthdays. Simple black & white design inspired by old, vintage barbershops with a modern twist.
Design Inspiration:
My sons' are 1 year and 10 days apart so we throw one big celebration for the both of them. Since they are turning 2 and 3 we were still able to choose a theme for them. Not wanting to do the same commercial party we tried to think outside the box. After choosing to have a Mustache Bash my boys were immediately on board (thanks to the fact that Sesame Street's Mr.Noodle sports one himself!).
Decorating Style:
Focus on the spaces that will make the biggest impact, like the dessert table. I love the sleek, symmetrical design of a dessert table. That really pulls a party theme together!
I love the coloring sheets made for the children. I took a photo I had of each child and added a mustache on www.picnik.com. After the mustache was added I uploaded the photo to my 'Sketch Me!' app on my iPhone. It created a perfect black and white sketch for the kids to color at the party using the mustache crayons from LilDoodlers! The kids had a blast coloring themselves!
Advice:
Have fun creating and designing projects yourself! If you see something that inspires you, go with it. Most ETSY shops are willing and happy to create a custom, one of a kind look just for you!

I believe that a black-and-white party for little kids need tons of creative work to compensate for the lack of bright colors that they love. And I believe you did an amazing job at this and really outdid yourself in terms of the details.

What a great idea! This would also work for a cast party at the end of a play, I think. It’s so hard to come up with a new idea for a boy’s party–once you’ve done race cars, dinosaurs, and pirates, there’s not much else out there. Also, @IngridCalloway, I think the black-and-white theme allows the kids to add their own colors–and we all know how creative kids are! The basic background is a perfect canvas for little artists. Well done! Thank you for providing all the vendors and websites.

Thanks for including my “Name that Mustache!” game. Hope the guests had fun :)
I am type of disappointed that I only just discovered your web blog a week ago. But, I’ve got added you to my Google Reader, right next to my own feeds, plus in between a couple Arbitron feeds. Keep feeding my brain. Thanks a lot
