From the moment I knew I was pregnant, I had a feeling I was having a girl. When it was confirmed at 18 weeks that in fact I was having a girl, I went to town. It's funny that I am not a Pink person myself, but I just loved the look of hot pink and turquoise with gray. Slowly but surely it all came together and now Emma has a place that hopefully she will grow up in. I wanted to put together a room that wouldn't be just for her infant years, and I think (hope) I have succeeded.

Project Details

The Crib is from Amazon, the glider is from Target, the dresser and book shelf are from Ikea. The knobs on the dresser are from Anthropologie. I made the curtains and pillow with fabric from Britex. The mirror and most of the picture frames are from Ikea and I just spray painted them hot pink and turquoise. The rug is from Land of Nod. I found a stencil for the elephants and used various scrap book paper to make them all different. The two prints that show California and Canada and state "Where my Roots Are" I found on Gilt. The side table I found on Overstock.com and spray painted it Hot Pink. The piggy banks a friend gave to me and she found them on Fab.com. The pouf is from Etsy from the shop aleta fae.
