A Project For

Gweneth

Age

Newborn

Location

Philadelphia

Description

This nursery was designed in collaboration with my then pregnant client and my now close friend.  She wanted to do something girly but in the blue family.  I think we definitely achieved that.

Design Inspiration

We both fell in love with the wallpaper and wanted to make it the focal point of the room.  My client had also recently travelled to Africa (pre-pregnancy) and wanted a touch of a "safari" theme.  Hence the large giraffe and the zebra inspired window treatments.  We also framed and hung up some of her photography from the trip.

Decorating Style

I definitely lean towards all things modern.  However, my biggest influence is always the client's decorating style.

Love the mix of vintage and modern. And the subtle animal theme. Less is for sure more.

Love the wallpaper! One of our favorite elements to use as well. Beautiful room!

That accent wall design is just gorgeous! Love the chandelier and the mirror, too. But I have to admit that I find that big giraffe out of place.
