Design Inspiration

My son loves Toy Story so we decided upon a {Rocket & Alien} party!  I love blues and limes together and this worked perfectly with Buzz Lightyear and the Alien characters.  It was just as we both dreamed!

Decorating Style

I love all styles: modern, traditional, classy, and elegant as long as it all sparkles!

Project Details

Theme: {Rockets & Aliens}

Colors: Blues & Limes

I designed the invitations from comics of Toy Story 3 with rockets and the letter "G".  I created a custom banner, favor tags, favor bags, food labels and birthday hats.

The kids had a picnic lunch including rocket peanut butter sandwiches and Toy Story grapes!

The {Dessert Bar} had a Rocket Cake, Rice Krispie Rockets, Cotton Candy Rockets with Pop Rock Aliens, Fondant Cookies and Buzz Lightyear Pez.

I love everything with polka dots so the napkins, plates, balloons and fabrics were polka dots.

Favorite Items

I loved how the {Dessert Bar} turned out!  But my favorite item was the birthday hats!

Advice

When you are struggling with a party - step away from the theme and make it what you want.  As you incorporate your favorite items, the party turns out great!

Sparkle and polka dots always work!
