Baby boy's room is ready!

Design Inspiration

The adorable photos over the crib from the Animal Print Shop.

Decorating Style

Clean and simple.  A mix of old and new.

Project Details

We made our own changing pad out of an altered bassinet mattress because standard ones were too large.  Also the 3 pictures over the changing table are of my husband's father around age 2 playing with toy cars... so cute.

Favorite Items

I love the pictures above the crib and the antique-turned-changing table.

We got many of the pieces (crib, sectional which fold out into a bed for grandparents, curtains, shelves) at Ikea.  The owl lamp and frames are West Elm.  The changing table and rocking chair I already owed.

I like the simple elegance of this nursery.  My favorite are those vintage photos — photos of your father-in-law — when he was a little boy. I wish I had old have photos of our parents and grandparents, too. Little boys and girls are always interested how their elders look like when they were still young and wrinkle-free!

This is a late comment from a fellow Texan, but would you share where you found your rug? Sheepskin? I’m having a hard time finding one that’s a decent size. Yours is excellent! :) Beautiful nursery… has a perfectly edited feel. Well done! :)

What size prints are the animal print shop prints above the crib? What size frame are the west elm frames? I want to do something similar but not sure what sizes are appropriate for about the crib.
