Description

Airy/Creamy/Simple Chic Nursery

Design Inspiration

The moment I found out we were having a baby I spent hours upon hours on Pinterest looking for inspiration.I had my heart set on a baby boy but once I found out I was having a girl, I couldn't have been more excited. I already had her name picked out before she was ever planned. I knew I wanted to use my late grandmother's name Judith but didn't want it as a first name so Lauren Judith is what I came up with & seemed elegant enough for a little southern belle. Elegant & simple were the two things that kept coming to mind when I thought about the room my little girl would spend most of her time in. I found and fell in love with a giraffe & lamb stuffed animal & my inspiration spun off of that.

Glitter Name Above Crib: Mod Podged glitter to paper mache' letters & cut full name out with silhouette out of cardstock. Mod Podged over them to stiffen them up.

Mobile: Couldn't find a mobile I liked in my price range so I bought the felt at Hobby Lobby, sketched a template, cut & sewed together. I bought the mobile stand itself from a thrift store and took the old things off. The bows I ordered from BowtiqueEmilee.com when ordering stuff for DIY headbands. Total cost of Mobile-$20 It isn't perfect but she loves it!!

Favorite Items

Lamb Mobile(bc I worked so hard in order to give her a mobile that fit her room & we the sweet & pureness of lambs)
Melissa & Doug Giraffe- It was the very first thing I ordered for her nursery
Faux Fur Rug- we take lots of photos on that rug & Lauren's "Sister Dog", Abbie, loves it!

Advice

Don't stress too much! I stressed SO much about making it perfect & it wasn't until I quit stressing that it actually came together.. She was already born when I picked the dresser out after buying one online and having to return before it got off the delivery truck because it was broken.
