I wanted to create a peaceful space for the nursery. I tried to stick to my accent colors to create a space that is a good marriage of traditional & modern.
Design Inspiration:
The inspiration started with the artwork. They were the first thing I purchased for the nursery. Everything came together around the art.
Decorating Style:
I try to mix the old with the new by using antiques mixed with more modern or contemporary items.
Project Details:
"Band of Horses", "E is for Elephant" & Alphabet Posters - SXSW 2012 Flatstock
"I Freaking Love You" & "I am a Child of God" - Etsy
Crib - Restoration Hardware
Bedding/Curtains/Rug - Land of Nod
Changing Table - Antique chest of drawers hand painted by my husband.
Chevron Lamp Shade - Shades of Light
Favorite Items:
My favorite items are:
1. The changing table - it is colorful & adds a great pop!
2. The chevron wall - it adds depth to this tiny, tiny room by bringing your eyes up to the 10ft ceilings.

So fun! Where did you find the orange balloon animal?
Living in downtown Austin, in my spare time I enjoy discovering new music, planning parties, and taking my dog for car rides. My husband & I are expecting our first baby in August & are looking forward to all the change everyone keeps telling us is coming.
