Emma Kinsley’s Yellow and Grey Nursery

Description

This is our first baby so we were more than excited to design a nursery. We were on a budget but still wanted to create an amazing space that was cheerful, mostly gender neutral, and incorporate modern prints.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration was a gender neutral color scheme of yellow and grey. The first item bought was the grey and white print rug from IKEA.

Decorating Style

Lots of print, DIY artwork, pops of color.

Project Details

The crib, bedding, dresser, bookshelf, and curtains are all from Target. The rug is from IKEA. The recliner was already owned and the ottoman and pillow are gifts. The letters on the wall were a DIY craft with supplies from Michael's. The artwork above the bookshelf was bought from Target and the turquoise print was already around the house. Favorite Items

My favorite items in the room are the rug and the ottoman. I also love the statement wall with the yellow and grey stripe.

Advice

Don't be afraid to make things yourself or reuse items you already have around the house. Not everything has to be bought brand new to create a great nursery.
