Emma Arlette’s Nursery

Description

I am one of those women who wants to be all "arts & craft" but I have zero decorating skills! However, with my baby girl on her way, I wanted her room to be cozy and a place to relax.  Thanks to Project Nursery and Pinterest, two of the greatest websites for new mothers and mothers-to-be, I was able to piece together a room for my daughter that I absolutely love. I was also very conscious of the amount of money that I was going to spend.

Design Inspiration

When I found out I was having a girl, I was so excited.  I knew I wanted to have pink in her room but I didn't want the color to dominate the room.  Her room was already painted grey so I decided to stick with that.  I decided to buy white furniture because I felt like it would make my small room feel bigger and light.  Plus, if I decided to change up the colors later, white furniture is pretty easy to accessorize. My major inspiration for the room was the aqua chevron rug. So, I figured I would use aqua and pink as my accent colors.

Decorating Style

I'm not quite for sure what my decorating style is...maybe simple and clean. I'm not one for too much stimuli in my life so I didn't want to go over board in Emma's room.
