Elliott’s Red Wagon First Birthday Party

Description

My little guy turning one was such a special occasion. I wanted his birthday to be fun and all boy.

Design Inspiration

I wanted to bring in some nostalgic pieces to create this theme. How much more nostalgic can you get than a Radio Flyer red wagon? I loved the idea of it and wanted to run with it using pieces of gingham, mason jars, etc.

Decorating Style

Clean and simple

Favorite Items

My favorite item was definitely the fabric backdrop. It transformed the area to look more like a birthday party and not just a pool party.

Advice

Everything is very doable. If you don't have a Silhouette, you can easily create many of the items using clipart images, a little cutting and gluing. There are many etsy vendors that you can order from to get similar items as well.

Once you narrow down your theme, take the time to figure out exactly what you want to DIY and what you need to purchase. That will help you stay under your designated budget.
