- A Project For: Ellery
- Age: 2 months
- Location: Wausau, WI

Description:
A nursery for our little girl Ellery. A room that I wanted to be fun, modern and a room that could grow with her.
-
Design Inspiration:
I saw another nursery design that used the grey stripes. We went with a bold darker grey paint for the stripes and pinks that popped. We started by doing the stipes before we knew the gender of our baby because we knew it was a great modern look that you could add colors for a boy or girl and still have a fantastic looking nursery.

Decorating Style:
I would describe our style as modern comfort. We like a modern look but it is also important to us that the space still feels comfortable and relaxing.
-
Project Details:
The floors are from menards. The crib is the Graco Lauren. Curtains are from Bed Bath and Beyond. The couch lays flat to become a full size bed and also props up on one end to become a chaise. It was from Walmart.com. The rug is from Ikea (only 20 dollars). the changing table was a craigslist buy that we re-painted. The book sling is something I made (idea from pinterest)

Favorite Items:
The couch is one of our favorite items because we can all sit together and have family time in her room. (it can also double as a guest bed). I also love the pictures we had blown up from her newborn shoot.

Advice:
The stripes were the hardest part of our nursery project. I highly recommend a laser light level when doing any wall stripes. The stipes alone took about 6-7 hours to tape down ( and only about 1 hour to paint).
