Elise’s Rainbow/Noah’s Ark 1st Birthday!

Description

A rainbow and Noah's Ark themed party for a 1 year-old.  We don't have a house big enough for 30 guests so it was supossed to be in our backyard patio area.  Of course the rain came down (ironically enough!) and stopped 30 minutes before the party started.  With lots of help from family we quickly got the decorations up!  You'll be able to tell from some of the pictures that I didn't have much time...

Design Inspiration

I tried to think of things that she liked and at this age it's bright colored things and animals so Noah's Ark came to mind because of the animals that were saved from the flood and the rainbow that God displayed when the flood was over.

Decorating Style

I'm a mix of modern, traditional, and country (antiques).

Scour the internet for ideas and start planning ahead of time!  I began planning 2 months ahead of time.
