Our little dreaded pirate Benjamin was the main inspiration for this party. His fun and adventurous spirit fit the theme perfectly!

Project Details
The invitation and decorations were created by Little Monkey Designs Inc. Little Monkey Designs also custom designed the t-shirt for Benjamin to wear the day of the party.The pirate themed treasure chest and map cake was created by Cupcakes Under Cover. All of the candy for the candy station was purchased at Bulk Barn. The pirate tattoos, plates and cutlery were purchased at Party City. The dress up props were purchased at our local dollar store. We created the walk your plank game and hook toss game as a DIY project using hooks we found at the dollar store and attaching them to a board. We created the "Walk the plank" game by using a large roll of craft and painting it. We cut out the shark fins and actual plank and applied it to the painted water we created later. This was fun because Benjamin got to create one of the main games for party. Julie Rock Photography captured the event for us!
Favorite Items
Our favourite item was the cake created by Cupcakes Under Cover. It was delicious and a great show piece at the party!
Advice
Our advise would be to pick a theme you love and go with it. It is simple and easy to purchase a custom printable decoration set from a company such as Little Monkey Designs, so that your party has that custom touch!
