Description

I am Tall - Giraffe Themed Nursery.  We wanted to create a cheerful, happy environment.  My husband added trim around the room and painted the top portion and ceiling baby blue.  The bottom portion was painted beige.   Accents and accessories focus on giraffes and the alphabet.

Design Inspiration

I have always loved giraffes and since Devin is tall like his parents the giraffe theme was born. The alphabet and books were added to strengthen the nursery theme and foster a love for reading.    Project nursery was a great resource for ideas.

Decorating Style

A relaxed traditional style with some contemporary elements.

Project Details

Favorite Items

I love everything in the room!  The glider is the most comfortable one I tested. The crib converts to a full size bed so it is beautiful and functional.

Advice

Create a design board or save images electronically as you search the Internet for inspiration and products.  Great planning in the beginning of the project will save you money and result in a better end product.

What is the tan color brand and name on the lower part of the wall- the part with his name/decals? Thanks.

I was wondering if you remember the color of the blue and the colors you used on the letters?

I am wondering how far down from the ceiling you placed the border/trim for the alphabet. Did this trim fall in line with the trim of the window, door, and/or closet? Also, did the alphabet go around the whole room or only 3 walls…I guess a better question may be how far apart did you place the letters? Thanks.
