I always noticed that one or two tone nurseries look great when they are neat and new - but what happens when all the colorful toys come in? and they are not all baby pink or creme and don't match your perfectly matching nursery??!?!?
So I wanted to create a space that was eclectic to begin with - that would compliment colors and patterns that would enter later on.
Eclectic - I love to mix styles of elements in one space.
Crib - Babyletto
Flower wall decal - Umbra
Gold Frame - black IKEA frame spray painted gold
Rocking chair - found and repainted
Flower pillow - ETSY
Dresser - antique purchased from eBay and repainted
Chevron Rug - RugsUSA.com
White Pique bedding - TrendLab
The dresser!!! It turned out amazing - it has lots of space and I'm sure it will be use full for years to come.
Don't necessarily search for "baby" items other than a crib and bedding set, use design elements that aren't "baby" to achieve a sophisticated look that can grow with your baby :)
