Description

I'm an interior designer and looked forward to the day I could decorate a nursery for my own baby.

Design Inspiration

I didn't want any theme, just pieces I loved and to make the room feel comfortable, fun and inviting.

Decorating Style

Relaxed and fun. Spend money on certain items that are important to you, and DIY on others. The dresser and toy chest were thrift store finds that I painted, while the bedding and drapes were my splurge.

Favorite Items

I had to have an upholstered rocking chair, this was so important for the first 4 months with Elle.

Very pretty! I was looking at the paint chart and it looks like the one above it…..which is Intimate White but you said that it is Romance SW6323. Does it look darker on the wall in person or does it look like the pictures. I wanted a real light Coral like it looks in the picture. Paint colors are so hard to pick out! LOL

Ok! Thank you so much! I was looking at my fan deck today and saw that color “blushing” and thought to myself “That looks like the color that I want….but they never look the same as on the chart”.

Where did you get the tassels on the curtains? Or did you make them? I want to do something similar but make curtain tiebacks out of some kind of tassel but I’m having a hard time finding some.

What a amazingly beautiful room! This is my inspiration room for my first lil one! I have to ask – where is the adorable rabbit and floral print from? It would be too perfect and I haven’t seen anything like it before. – From a fellow Dallasite

Thank you Hibah! I just checked But Buy Baby, it looks like they no longer sell this brand of rockers. It was from Best Furniture.

Hi Katya, I found the dresser at a thrift store and painted it myself. Steal for $125!

    Thanks!

For a designer you left out a lot of details on the space including where most things were sourced. Also wondering why you referenced the i unupholstered rocking chair when it is not pictured. I like the lamp shade and the small gallery wall.

    Hi Julian,
The ceiling was painted a creamy white from the previous owner, sorry I don’t have the specific color.
    Thanks, Diane

Hi Renew, the E is from Hobby Lobby, it was brown and a painted it white. The art is from all over. Fern is a thrift store find, butterflies and bunny print from Ikea, and elephant and baby shoes was made by a friends.
    Thanks, Diane

Hi, love what you did with the room. Where did you purchase your Moroccan pouf from? (gold ottoman) and How much did U pay for it? Was it stuffed when you bought it?

I meant what color paint did you use to paint the dresser. I also just bought a similar piece as changing table but want to paint it white to coordinate with my white Jenny Lind crib. Thank you so much!
