Coral & Teal: Boy & Girl Twin Nursery

Description

I wanted to create a nursery that would work for a boy and girl! I love color, and using just gray and white seemed so boring to me. I wanted a nursery that was tranquil, and fun at the same time. I could not be happier with how it turned out! Now I just need these babies to arrive!

Design Inspiration

I ordered my bedding from Caden Lane - I loved how the two sets match eachother perfectly, but come in boy and girl colors. And I LOVE the modern/vintage prints - they set the perfect tone and color p

Decorating Style

I think my style is a little ecletic, a little sweet, and a little funky! The teal and coral color combination is so peaceful & happy. The entire room makes me smile! :-)

Project Details

We have the most wonderful baby store in San Antonio called Nursery Couture! The owner is a friend of mine, and helped me design the entire thing. It's the perfect mix of store bought and DIY! The cribs, Caden Lane crib bedding, monogram wall art, rugs, glider, monogram pillows, wall art, and turquoise dresser are all from Nursery Couture! The bookcase I purchased at World Market, and the white mirror is from Homegoods. The frames I painted myself! My favorite DIY in the room is the curtains - they are white curtain panels from JC Penny (so cheap!) and I purchased the turquoise pom pom trim and had a friend sew it to the sides! The curtains are whimsy, sweet, and coordinate with the style of the nursery exactly!

Favorite Items

The monograms over the crib are my very favorite! They are a little brighter than the bedding, and I LOVE how they POP off the wall and seem to seperate the girl and boy sides of the room.

Advice

Start with your bedding! Caden Lane has so many sets that work for twins, and it was so easy to use it to set the color pallete and style of the nursery. I wanted only the best for my sweet twins - Andrew and Anastasia!

Hello! My baby girl is coming at the end of June and I am still trying to find the perfect over-the-crib art and LOVE the striped canvas monogram. Went on the Nursery Couture website and couldn't find them. Are they custome or will the store do these for any customer? LOVE, they look fantastic! Good luck the rest of the way---Annie in MN
