A Coral Colored Twin Nursery

Description

I helped design this nursery for a good friend expecting boy/girl twins! She wanted a light & peaceful nursery, with a gender neutral color pallet.

Design Inspiration

Caden Lane's Modern Vintage Crib Bedding Collection was the perfect starting point for color guidance and style. The whimsical prints have a vintage feel to them, and the aqua, coral, pink & blue color blend together so seamlessly.

Decorating Style

I'd best describe the decorating style of this nursery as fun & eclectic. The classic monograms on the wall, with bold stripes, and colorful accents throughout the decor give the entire nursery a "happy" feel!

Project Details

Well, the bedding was Caden Lane, and those gorgeous iron cribs are from Bratt Decor. The shaggy rugs by the cribs, the glider, and the wall art were all purchased at a local Texas store called Nursery Couture.

The mommy-to-be had a few fun DIY projects she worked on (like her frame collection and spray painting her white mirror over the dresser). I love her budget curtains, the white panels from JC Pennies were inexpensive, and she added the turquoise pom pom trim to give it a custom look. But my FAVORITE DIY project in the room was my gift to her, the monogram wall art. The large wood monograms were spraypainted bright blue and hot pink, and then I painted thick coordinating stripes on a white canvas and attached the monograms with hot glue. You can read more about it on my DIY post here.

Favorite Items

The monogram wall art - i love that it's an original piece that can grow with the babies.

Advice

Don't be afraid of too much color! This nursery is the perfect example of making trendy colors work together to create the perfect gender neutral nursery.
