A Project For

3 months

San Diego, CA

I wanted Ezekiel's nursery to be colorful and fun without any real theme.  I always loved patterns, such as stripes and chevron, so I started there.  In order for the room to be colorful, but not too overwhelming, we painted the walls grey and had the carpets and crib grey as well.  Then we added touches of our favorite colors - green, teal, orange, and yellow - in fun patterns.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration came from my husband and my personal design style.  We've always loved designing our home in fun colors and patterns.  I also spent hours browsing Project Nursery and Pinterest for design inspiration.

Favorite Items

It's hard to pick my favorite items, but if I had to choose my favorites they would be the Crayon Artwork and Library/Book wall.  The striped ceiling would be a close second!  My husband worked hard making sure the ceiling stripes looked perfect :).

My advice would be to start with one simple idea and take it from there.  Have fun and don't worry about being to traditional or sticking to the book.

The room has a nice balance: warm and welcoming to baby yet stimulating for the baby’s development.

Wow, I think you and I would get along really well. My youngest baby boy is named Ezekiel and I also have those same verses for my children’s rooms! I love the style too. Really, really nice!
