Cognitive and Colorful Nursery

Description

We wanted a colorful, yet calm space. So we added pops of color in small doses and kept bigger color splashes to light blue and green. Also have a bit of a woodland theme happening.

Design Inspiration

I searched project nursery and other sites to get ideas. Also used etsy alot.

Decorating Style

Clean, comfotable, pleasing.

Project Details

Etsy is a favorite and IKEA!

Favorite Items

Has to be the chair, which is so comfortable. Purchased from target.com

Second favorite, the owls, in general I love and I think the baby will like the owl's eyes which have high contrast.

Advice

To paint one wall and add accents. don't match things too much.

Frogphoto-- the owls are from mapleshadekids on etsy. Avalon-- I am a developmental psychologist, thats why I used the word cognitive-- I wanted a stimulating yet calm space. The blue stars aren't the best color for the space, but baby loves them!!!

LOVE YOUR COLOR SCHEME, BUT WAS GLAD TO SEE THOSE OWLS WERE SMALLER THAN THE ONE PICTURE INDICATED. I THINK THEY'D SCARE THE SOX OFF EBABY DECOR IF THEY WERE ANY BIGGER. BOO!

This is the first nursery I have seen that's described as "cognitive." =) Anyway, I like the muted earthy colors. Owls make lovely accents, too. I think those star lamps are kinda out-of-place though, but it may just be because the lights were on.

I like your wall decal. It is lovely in a very discreet (read: not screaming for attention) kind of way. I also like the woodsy feel to the room and the owls here and there.
