Citrus Punch Gender Neutral Baby Sprinkle

Description

If you want to throw a party for a special friend of yours to celebrate a second or third child into their family, throw them a "Sprinkle".  It is not technically a shower since you don't play games and shower the guest of honor with items she'll need for baby.  Instead you throw a sprinkle luncheon or cocktail party and sprinkle her with gifts for herself for fun non-practical but adorable gifts for baby.

Design Inspiration

Our guest of honor at our sprinkle has modern and sophisticated tastes.  She loves the color turquoise so that color and a simplified stork invitation found on Minted started our inspiration.

Decorating Style

The style of this party was crisp, fresh and modern.

Project Details

With the help of a party planner friend of mine - Beth Altrock, we created a modern and playful luncheon to honor a new baby. She created all of the labels, custom place mats, and name tags.  We purchased the flowers from Trader Joe's and assembled them ourselves.  The runner on the gift table was purchased on Etsy and the striped straws were from Paper Source.

Favorite Items

My favorite parts of the decor of the shower were the chevron place mat and lemon place cards.  Of course I love favors, especially edible ones.  We had custom heart cookies made since the slogan for the "Sprinkle" was "sprinkled with love" and also served macaroons.

I kinda like the simplicity of the idea of a "sprinkle." This is the first time I have heard of it. I like that you don't have to play games and such. Nice sprinkle, by the way.
