- A Project For: Chloe
- Age: almost 3 years
- Location: Sydney Australia
As we moved house recently I had to re-create Chloe's nursery BUT she is not a baby anymore so using her existing furniture and some of my favorite nursery items(in turquoise) I made her a whole new room, in her favoirte colour PINK. I bought her new pictures appropriate for her age and displayed them in this modern sort of way above her now converted toddler bed. She has quite a few hand made items like her quilt and dolls. She also has a play room so this space is reserved for sleeping and her very favorite toys, books and keepsakes.
Turquoise is my favorite colour but pink is Chloe's favorite colour so I mixed the two, pleasing us both. I love hand made things, little birds, rabbits and cherry blossoms so I added those. The little asian girl prints were greeting cards I planned to frame for the master bedroom but they went so perfectly in here that she got them instead. Everything was done on a budget.
Modern beachy for my home but her room is a mixture of tradional and modern plus it's very girlie.
Re-purpose things with paint and covers. Re-use to keep things fresh move things about. I used cheap and cheerful Ikea furniture and mix it with things like the expensive dolls pram.
The whole space is so pleasant but the handmade quilt is so cheery.
