Location:
Give me ideas of how to transform into a possible boy's room. Baby #2 coming!
Description:
Just enough girly. Aqua walls with white furniture and touches of pink, green, and brown.
Design Inspiration:
Aqua! Actually this is Benjamin Moore's "Antiguan Sky". Pottery Barn's Coco Dot nursery bedding and a wonderful photo of it in their catalog!
Decorating Style:
Cottage Modern. I like to reinvent old pieces with paint and details and mix it with new things. My home is cottage style from 1919 so I've adapted my modern style to fit in here.
Project Details:

Built-in bookcase: Ikea ($60)

Favorite Items:
I love how the tree turned out! I drew first with chalk to outline the tree freehand. Then I painted with leftover trim paint to fill in. Last I cut leaf and bird shapes out of scrapbook paper and lightly used spray adhesive to attach them to the wall.
Advice:
Please don't buy a whole matching set wherever you get your furniture. It always looks so much more unique and designed to mix it up! Get some character!
I am an Interior Designer and mother of an 18-month-old girl, "Charlie". I loved the Coco Dot nursery featured in a Pottery Barn Catalog while I was pregnant and ran with it! I made it my own by making custom artwork, mural, restoring furniture, and piecing it all together. I'm now expecting #2 and hoping to find great ideas to turn a spare room into a toddler room for "Charlie" and possibly redo her room into a boy's room. We shall see!
