Project Details
The theme had a variety of colors but I concentrated mostly on the baby blue and yellow which truly brought out the theme. We utilized our backyard and filled them with games such as pin the tail on the donkey, ring toss and a pinata for the kids which were purchased from party city. We also hired a face painter which the kids loved. The party favors included welch's fruit snacks, animal crackers, zoo animal bubble bottles, zoo animal finger puppets, zoo animal tattoos, safari coloring book and crayons, animal print pencils which were purchased from www.centurynovelty.com. The themed plates, banners, high chair decors were purchased from www.ezpartyzone.com and www.birthdaydirect.com.

Advice
Don't overdo the theme ... purchase only about 2 packs of the themed plates and napkins and concentrate on two major colors you like. Also, think of the simple games kids enjoy, you'll be suprised what they can do with just a ball.

Those favors are great. I agree with you that it's nice to have a theme, but don't over do it. What happened here was that you got all the nice elements together while still having fun. Carter looks like he's had the time of his life thanks to you :)
