Cade is almost 8 years old, and with friends spending the night more frequently AND a brand new collection from Caden Lane, I thought it was the perfect time to update his room with metal bunks and chevron decor!
Design Inspiration:
Cade's newborn sister's room (Lila's Chevron Nursery) was such a hit - both online and at home - that I had to use the big boy version for Cade's room makeover!
Three of the walls are gray, but the wall behind the bed I faux painted to look like metal - it was so easy, and gives the wall texture that blends with the decor. Stay tuned for a DIY on how to re-create the look yourself!
Decorating Style:
I wanted to design a room that he would still love in 10 years (if I last that long not redesigning it myself)! Cade is always wanting his friends/cousins to spend the night, and a bunk bed provided him with a full size bed on the bottom, and a cool spot for friends to sleep up top! That "industrial" look is so masculine, and the mixture of the wood & metal seems to work seamlessly for boys. I also didn't want a colorless room for him - so the bedding added the perfect amount of blue, gray, and yellow to balance his decor.
